The reading of Scripture and the Word Proclaimed in the sermon go hand in hand. The Book […]

Happy Spring! Daffodils have bloomed, the world is greening up and the rhododendrons by the church were especially beautiful this year! I’m anxious to plant a small garden and flower beds. Spring is a time of anticipating, watching things grow, waiting for flowers to share their colorful splendor or maybe carefully checking for that first […]
Easter is upon us and here we are a year after trying to adjust to celebrating one of our most joyous and sacred holidays via Zoom. There have been many ups and downs and glitches we have weathered and to be at the same place in the process is disappointing at best. There are […]
We will begin the Season of Lent next Wednesday with a COVID-style observance of Ash Wednesday. On February 17, if you are comfortable and you would like to receive the Imposition of Ashes in person, I will be in the sanctuary from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m. You may enter the front or on Bennett […]
The Three Rivers Woman’s Club Afghan group met February 4 at First Presbyterian Church. They donated eight more afghans to the domestic assault shelter; that is a total of over 1,000 afghans donated by the club so far! Kudos to these ladies for their hard work and dedication! Church cat Bennett also enjoys the action.
