Pastor’s Message: What God’s Word Says About Issues That Face Us
Greetings!
October is here and Fall has arrived. The days are cooler, the leaves are beginning to change and sweater weather is on the way. During October I will be preaching on some issues that I wanted to share with you and express why I have chosen to do this. To begin with, I am mindful […]
Pastor’s Message: The Legacy Continues
Greetings!
Lately, I have been thinking about what a blessed church we are. We recently announced and celebrated the Sustaining the Legacy Campaign Pledges that we received. Our goal was to match $100,000.00 that we had already received from the Armstrongs and Donna Ward to pay for the completion of the improvements we started approximately 9 […]
Pastor’s Message: Healing for your Heart
Greetings!
It’s hard to believe that it is August already, the summer is nearly spent with school and Fall activities right around the corner. To be honest, I am ready for some nice Fall weather! Usually, Summer is a time to slow down, take a moment to breathe deep and get re-energized. But, sometimes just as […]

Pastor’s Message: Planting for the Future
Greetings!
It’s hard to believe but we are halfway through the year. Time marches on as they say! I have been thinking a lot about how time passes and how important it is to consider that time is more than what is happening today. We would not be the church we are today if not for […]
Pastor’s Message: How Long Until We Protect the Most Vulnerable?
Dear Friends,
I have struggled with writing this, partly because my heart is so heavy after the senseless death of 19 children and two of their teachers. I wonder, how long O Lord, until we take real measures to protect the most vulnerable among us. I cannot even imagine living through this horrific loss of a […]
Pastor’s Message: PRESS Forward
Greetings Everyone!
Here we are at the month of May already. As I am writing this it is pouring rain outside. Oh wait, now it’s not…..ok, it started again…oh and I just stepped out and it is sleeting. Feels like November. Just when we thought Spring had arrived with a couple of 70 degree days, it […]

Pastor’s Message: New Life in Christ
Greetings!
This month we celebrate Easter, the most important Church holiday of the year. It’s the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ as well as being raised to new life in Him! As Easter has become more and more commercialized, it’s easy to focus on just one day. There’s the build-up with Easter eggs, […]

We began the Lenten season with an Ash Wednesday service on March 2.
Lenten Sunday School
Pastor’s Message: Holy Solitude
Dear Friends,
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, March 2. The beginning of a Holy Season in which we prepare our hearts and minds as we move toward Easter and the remembrance of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. Lent is a time for us to make a conscious and concerted effort to encounter God and be empowered by […]
Pastor’s Message: Appreciating God’s Gifts in the Face of Tragedy
Greetings! As I contemplate these cloudy days, sometimes I am struck by what seems to be a cloudiness of soul. There is so much that concerns all of us in this day and time as we still struggle with the pandemic, as we see natural disasters become more frequent, as we see our country struggle […]

Some people I know expressed this year that they just couldn’t get into the spirit of things. It just didn’t feel like Christmas. I know there […]
