Three teams have been formed for continued work on the vision for First Presbyterian Church – “our focused vision for acting and doing God’s work.” Each team meets regularly to determine “what should we do together” and “what will we do in the next 30 days.” People are welcome to participate in a team of their choosing:
Taking Care of Each Other
Responding to Community Needs
Using our New Spaces for Hosting and Hospitality

Taking Care of Each Other
For information about this team, talk to Steve Olson
Finding ways to be responsive to the issues of the aging and supportive of their caregivers, yet being responsive to the needs of the younger generation. Seeking ways to welcome young families while not forgetting the gifts and experiences that those 50 and up bring to the church.

Responding to Community Needs
For information about this team, talk to Jan Michaels
Continuing to be responsive to community needs – as we have become known for – as well as initiating new responses and services in the community, while avoiding duplication of services by collaborating with other entities and honoring existing community efforts.

Using our New Spaces for Hosting and Hospitality
For information about this team, talk to Rev. Brenda Deily
Finding opportunities for increased congregational use of our newly remodeled, functional spaces, as well as for hosting educational and community events. This new role of active hospitality and welcoming reflects the spirit found in our Christian values.
