Solidarity in Diversity: Martin Luther King Celebration

The annual celebration hosted by the Three Rivers Area Faith Community will look different this year in an effort to keep our neighbors safe during the COVID pandemic.

–January 18 from 5-5:30 p.m.: Standing vigil along both sides of Main Street in downtown Three Rivers. Bring a sign to display in celebration of Dr. King’s legacy or in solidarity with the continuing work we need to do as a community; please wear a mask. Personal hygiene items and canned goods for the Three Rivers Food Site will be collected in the East Alley.

–Through the end of February: The story of Dr. King’s life and the continued freedom movement will be posted in downtown storefront windows.
